Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's heated match against Barcelona triumph.
The Brazilian was replaced in the 72nd min and showed his annoyance by going straight off the pitch.
He later returned to the dugout and, after his team's 2-1 win, sought to engage Barça's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury post-match incidents.
"This day I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my response when I was taken off in the derby," Vinicius wrote on social media.
"Similarly to I have said in person during the latest practice, I also want to express regret anew to my teammates, the club, and the club president.
"At times emotion takes over me because I constantly desire to win and assist my side. My determined nature comes from the love I have for this club and everything it symbolizes."
Vinicius signed for Madrid from Flamengo in the year 2018 for millions and has notched over a century of strikes in more than 300 games.
But his career in the Madrid is uncertain with reports in lately indicating that the club would contemplate allowing the young star depart if they obtained a suitable offer.
When he was taken off on the match day, broadcast footage from broadcaster the platform picked him up saying: "Again me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I depart, I'm going."
In his most recent post on social media, Vinicius stated: "I vow to keep battling at all times for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
